Regional/Global CSD Associations

ACG

Its formal name is The Asia-Pacific Central Securities Depository Group. The ACG is an organization composed of CSDs and clearing houses of the Asia-Pacific region. It was established in November 1997. JASDEC is a member of the ACG from its establishment and is now one of the members of the Executive Committee. JASDEC also serves as a convener of the Exchange of Information task force.

ACSDA

Its formal name is The Americas' Central Securities Depositories Association.The ACSDA is an association composed of CSDs and clearing houses of the North and South America. It was established in August 1999.

AECSD

Its formal name is The Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories. The AECSD is an organization composed of CSDs of the Eurasian region. It was established in 2001.

AMEDA

Its formal name is The Africa & Middle East Depositories Association. The AMEDA is an association composed of CSDs and clearing houses of the African and Middle Eastern region. It was established in April 2005.

ECSDA

Its formal name is The European Central Securities Depositories Association. The ECSDA is an association composed of CSDs of the European region. It was established in November 1997.

WFC

Its formal name is The World Forum of CSDs. The WFC is an organization composed of representatives of the above mentioned 5 regional CSD associations. It was established in April 2011. Board meetings attended by 2 board members from each association is held periodically to exchange information and to strengthen collaboration among each regional CSD associations. Its activities include the approaches for CSDs' development, increasing CSD's influence on related organizations and release of opinions on global topics related to the WFC and its members.
