| Apr. 15, 2011 | ･The formation of the World Forum of CSDs (WFC) was announced during the CSD11 conference in Cape Town from 13 to 15 April 2011. ･The WFC will have a board composed of 10 representatives, two from each of five regional CSD associations, and the board will be supported by the Secretariats of the respective associations. ･Mr. Mohamed Abdel Salam of MCDR (Egypt), representing the Africa and Middle East CSD Association, took on the role of Chair of the newly formed WFC and Mr. Yoshinobu Takeuchi of JASDEC will be acting as WFC Vice-Chair. | Jul. 8, 2011 | ･In Hong Kong, JASDEC participated in the first trilateral meeting for information exchange with Korea Securities Depository (KSD) and China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited (SD&C), both of which have signed an MOU with JASDEC for the purpose of sharing information. ･At the meeting there was an exchange of views between top management, information exchange among working-level divisions and JASDEC presented on its response to the Great East Japan Earthquake and other topics. | Sept. 12, 14, 2011 | ･JASDEC participated in a symposium commemorating 150 years of Japanese-German friendship at Frankfurt School of Finance and Management in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, presenting on the Japanese securities settlement system. ･In Luxembourg JASDEC and the local bankers' association sponsored a seminar where we described our business. |
| Sept. 14-15, 2011 | ･At ACG's (Asia Pacific CSD Group) Cross-Training Seminar in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, JASDEC assisted host Mongolian Securities Clearing House & Central Depository (MSCH&CD). ･At the seminar, presentations were made on results from an issuer services survey, on the current situation and future issues pertaining to CSD linkages on legal applications in cross-border securities transactions, and on the response to the Great East Japan Earthquake. | Sept. 18, 2011 | ･JASDEC signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Russia's CSD, the National Settlement Depository (NSD), to establish a basis of cooperation and sharing of information towards the development of a closer working relationship. |
| Sept. 18-23, 2011 | ･As Secretariat, JASDEC planned and executed the first WFC (World Forum of CSDs) meeting. There, updates on activities in each region were presented and JASDEC's chairman, as vice-chairman of WFC, discussed local organizations' status reports and planning for the next CSD meeting (May 2013). ･JASDEC participated in Sibos 2011 held in Toronto from September 19. |
| Oct. 4-5, 2011 | ･JASDEC was invited to ECB's Conference on Securities settlement in 2020: T2S and beyond, as a panelist, and presented on themes in recent trends in Asian Securities markets. |
| Nov. 2-4, 2011 | ･JASDEC was Secretariat of the ACG15 (Seoul, South Korea). Decisions were made on planning for 2012-13 activities, activities for each task force, website upgrading and other matters. ･At the CSD's Competing for Collaboration panel, described JASDEC's policy of expanding operations to meet participant demand in the context of our legal and governance framework. |
