Announcement of full migration to ISO20022

  • Pre-Settlement Matching SystemNews

JASDEC has been promoting the use of ISO20022, next-generation international standard and a successor of ISO15022. ISO20022 has become a global trend with regard to the registration procedure of data syntax used in financial industry.

Considering the rising attention of international standardization, we are pleased to announce that all of our legacy network users have been migrated to ISO20022 at this time.

The use of ISO20022's data syntax will make the cross-border settlement chain more efficient, for example, sub-custodians in Japan can easily transmit settlement instructions to PSMS, by using the same data syntax sent from their global custodians. In addition, because of the scalable architecture of ISO20022, it is also expected to assure the scalability of PSMS to meet future increase of the scope of securities to be handled.
