Procedures for participation and changes to procedures

Overview of system participants

In cases JASDEC participants wish to open a new account or make changes to the existing account relating to the foreign stock certificates, etc., the following considerations must be borne in mind.

1.Opening new accounts

To JASDEC participants to open a new account as a participant for foreign stock certificates, etc. under the business regulations relating to the depository and Book-entry transfer for foreign stock certificates, etc. please be aware that, (1) at present, for classified accounts which (2) can be opened by system participants in the (domestic) stock book-entry transfer and settlement system, it is necessary that the JASDEC participants for foreign stock certificates, etc. has the same classified account code as the system participant’s account. Furthermore, because we conduct prior verification of system connection methods, etc., please contact the ‘enquiries contact’ for which details are given below.

2.The JASDEC participants for foreign stock certificates, etc. making changes to existing accounts (adding or cancelling classified accounts)

In case the JASDEC participants for foreign stock certificates, etc. wish to establish additional classified accounts in the book-entry transfer and settlement system, please note that it is necessary that the JASDEC participants for foreign stock certificates, etc. has the same classified account code as the system participant’s account. Furthermore, because we conduct prior verification of the content of the changes, etc., please contact the ‘enquiries contact’ for which details are given below. (Please contact us in advance if you are considering making any changes relating to the usage calculation company).
